You cannot go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

– C.S. Lewis

Navigating life’s challenges often feels like embarking on a complex journey, where we sometimes find ourselves lost or stuck, despite our best efforts. In times like these, I believe therapy can make a difference. Clients in the past have described me as a warm, genuine, and calming presence. I am deeply committed to creating a safe space where your stories are heard, your feelings acknowledged, and your experiences validated.

I received my B.A. in Political Science and English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked in the IT industry and eventually realized the corporate environment was not for me, discovering my passion for helping others through therapy. I earned my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University and served as a practicum counselor supporting students at Southwestern University.

My approach to therapy is primarily person-centered. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to guide and support you in your journey of understanding and growth. I use a range of evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal informed therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and EMDR.

I am privileged to work with adolescents and adults across the lifespan, including parents and couples. My specialties include supporting individuals dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and addictions, while always striving to understand and address the unique experiences and challenges faced by all my clients. I am also conversant in American Sign Language, enabling me to offer accessible culturally-sensitive therapy to the Deaf community.

A Little About Me

Outside of my professional life, I love outdoor activities, be it hiking, camping, bike riding, or indulging in a game of pickleball. I also enjoy traveling, yoga and spending time with my wife and two dogs, Haku and Shasta. Engaging in therapy is a courageous step, and it’s one you don’t have to take alone. Together, we can navigate your path toward healing and growth. I look forward to joining you on this journey.
