I’m not going to lie, therapy is hard. It will challenge you and force you to change, and no one really likes change. But you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t looking for change. The greatest honor of my career is getting to sit with you while you try. You’ll ugly cry and we’ll laugh and we’ll all make mistakes and I’ll give you that therapist nod that you only hate a little bit.
But at some point in our work together, you will look back and celebrate making the difficult decisions that helped you climb out of whatever was making you feel stuck.
My job (and I love my job) is to make it a little easier, a little less shameful, less scary, to look at the pieces of your life you don’t like to look at. This way you’re actually addressing the root of your concerns and not just piling more bandages on.
While I have specific therapy modalities I rely on, I will adapt my approach to what seems to best fit our relationship, and we’ll explore what kinds of therapy works best for you.
I am professionally trained in working with trauma and eating disorders, and I specialize in religious trauma and cult recovery, though I commonly work with individuals, couples and families that have had to navigate high control or rigid belief systems. Additionally, I work with people who struggle with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, and addiction, to anger, shame, sexual offenses, grief, and family and intimate relationship conflict.
We are all intimately connected, and most (if not all) of our struggles come from our attempt navigate the larger systems put in place by those with the most power. As such, I am fiercely committed to advocating for and working with individuals with marginalized identities within and outside of the therapy room. I offer limited sliding scale spots for those with marginalized identities or in the lowest income bracket. Please be comfortable to ask me about financial options.

A Little About Me
I was raised on the Texas/Mexico/New Mexico border in El Paso, and I went to college at the University of Arizona with a major in Middle East and North African Studies. I moved to Austin for the music scene, and I got my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas State University in 2021.
When I’m not working, I enjoy making music (I play several instruments), listening to a wide variety of music to fit the mood, reading fantasy books, socializing with friends, long morning walks (especially when it’s not summer), watching basketball and football, and listening to podcasts about cults.
