My life’s motto is to have courage and be kind, so becoming a therapist was a natural next step in fulfilling my life’s purpose. If you are choosing to enter counseling, then please be proud of yourself for your courage! Therapy is a gift that I am so grateful to provide and hope to give to you when you are ready. I believe that counseling is a team effort, and therefore am ready to begin our collaborative relationship.
In my practice, I utilize a relational approach to form a meaningful therapeutic relationship with every client. My counseling approach combines methods of Positive Psychology, Strengths-based ideology, and focuses on empowering clients to believe in their best selves. I employ CBT and DBT strategies with a non-judgmental validating approach, while also supporting positive changes. I can work with any client age 10 and up, but I primarily see adolescents and teens. I am also a certified Positive Discipline parent educator and enjoy working with parents of my minor clients. I will be your cheerleader or your neutral backboard to bounce ideas off of, whichever you feel is more relevant to your needs.

A Little About Me
I received my bachelor’s and master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina with a focus in Health and Mental Health. After moving to Texas in 2019, I worked at Vivent Health (formerly AIDS Services of Austin) providing support to folks living with HIV. I next worked as a therapist at Hill Country Counseling giving individual and group therapy to adults with chronic and severe mental illness. My main hobbies are reading, hanging out with friends at concerts and restaurants, and shopping. I also am a crazy cat lady and obsess over my fur babies Monty and Miley.
