Affirming Care for However Your Brain Works
Our neurodivergent-affirming therapists center acceptance, empathy, and collaboration. We don’t assume there’s one “right” way to think, feel, or behave. Instead, we focus on understanding your experience and supporting you in building a life that works for you — even when the world around you doesn’t make it easy.
Neurodivergence includes experiences such as autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, dyslexia, and more. You or your child might have known for years — or just recently started exploring this part of your identity. Either way, you may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or worn down by the pressure to conform to expectations that don’t align with how your brain works.
For children and teens, this can look like meltdowns after school, difficulty with transitions, or challenges with peer relationships. For adults, it might show up as burnout, struggles at work, relationship stress, or feeling out of sync with the world around you.
Therapy isn’t about erasing those differences — it’s about making space for them, and helping you or your child feel more grounded, supported, and connected.
Building skills for emotional regulation, communication, and self-advocacy in a way that fits how they experience the world.
Exploring identity, managing stress, and developing self-trust during a stage where fitting in can feel especially loud.
Processing burnout, unmasking, or a late-in-life diagnosis — and figuring out what support looks like now.
Understanding and supporting your child without shame or judgment, in ways that align with your family’s values.
Improving communication, routines, and mutual understanding at home.
Navigating the mental and emotional toll of feeling unsupported or out of step with expectations that don’t fit how you’re wired.
We adapt our therapy to support each individual or family in a way that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely helpful. This may include:
Creating sensory-friendly environments
Welcoming movement, stimming, or nontraditional communication
Using visual supports, play, or creative approaches with kids
Adjusting pacing, language, and structure to fit different processing styles
Supporting parents in ways that align with their values and their child’s actual need
We’re here to help you or your child feel more understood, less alone, and better equipped to move through a world that often doesn’t make space for difference.
