Looking for something different? You found it.
I’m Lea (she or they) I’ve been supporting children and the adults who love them through dance and movement therapy since 2007. I focus on the body, the state of the nervous system, and the relationship between client and therapist to enhance emotional regulation, mental health, and self-expression.
In my sessions; I integrate movement, play, talk, games, music, creative expression, dance and sensory preferences to support the whole child. This blended approach invites folx to express themselves in natural, engaging, and developmentally supportive ways. I specialize in working with families of children with vulnerable nervous systems due to trauma, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, sensory differences, etc.) or other life circumstances. If you or your child are queer, nonbinary, trans, or generally dance under the rainbow umbrella, you’re my people.
I cherish partnering closely with parents, co-parents, and bonus parents – including polyamorous and chosen families – providing brain- and body-based education that extends the work beyond the therapy space.
Clients as young as toddlers and as old as adolescents can join me in person at our Westlake Hills offices, grown-ups can take advantage of in person or virtual sessions. Check out my TEDx talk on dance and movement therapy and co-regulation in early childhood to learn more about my approach.
**Disclosure: I practice under my registration through the American Dance Therapy Association and do not hold a state sanctioned license.**
