Get Started

Hi there! I want to start by acknowledging that beginning therapy or meeting with a new clinician can feel overwhelming. Most people arrive here because something in their life feels off and they are ready for a change. Taking this step is vulnerable and it takes courage to show up and explore what might come next.

I approach therapeutic work with a calm curiosity and a deep appreciation for each person’s story. In session I show up warm, collaborative, and gently challenging. My background includes extensive work with children and families, years of crisis and trauma experience, and a focus on appreciating and supporting neurodiversity.

Behavioral therapy is a cornerstone of my work with clients. I’m of the opinion that all behavior comes from an attempt to meet a need. We as humans will adapt in order to stay safe and successfully navigate the world. Unfortunately, those adaptations may not always be helpful or healthy. This is where our work begins. It’s a true privilege to be invited into someone’s story, to hold space, and to work side by side toward meaningful change.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Therapy is my happy place. I love the chance to understand people, and help them understand themselves, on a deeper level. I can be a bit of a nerd when it comes to neurobiology and understanding the science behind mental health. When I’m not in sessions you would likely find me deep in a book, experiencing new foods, planning my next adventure, or spending time with the furry members of my family.
