Whether you’ve already had some experience seeking mental health support or if this is your first time wading through the process, welcome! For what it’s worth, I have been on the other side of this process and offer some reassurance that there is so much possibility in finding the right fit! I offer a curiosity-driven, responsive space to learn about your values, goals, and concerns you may be facing in any variety of contexts.
Self-doubt and shame around not seeming to be as “productive” as others? Experiencing valid fear and frustration about oppressions impacting yourselves or loved ones? Navigating gender identity and cultural expectations in your family of origin? Or racialized experiences in the workplace?
Complex feelings of grief and loss in a world that does not seem to have capacity to hold it? …Want to rant about pop star beef and how it relates to your own creative interests and identity development?
If you bring it, I’ll hold space for it. What I might not have experienced exactly what you have, I will bring constant curiosity and a commitment to centering your support needs. I operate from the belief that mental health and individual wellness are very much influenced by systems. From your individual brain chemistry, to what you learned from your first attachment figures, to societal expectations, to the impact of global events, politics, and capitalism, I would like to witness you and hopefully support you in exploring ways to put it all together.
My therapeutic approach is informed by almost one decade in the education system, foster care system, legal system, non-profit youth development and case management world, and community-based counseling programs. The relationships I’ve built in these spaces have affirmed how possible it is to center anti-oppressive social justice in community care. I am committed to challenging racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia in the field and in my work with clients. My goal is to expand client’s expectations of what classic therapeutic sessions can look like in offering a variety of approaches– somatic trauma processing (mindfulness practices, sensory activities), creativity (journal prompts, coloring). In addition, I integrate elements of CBT and Narrative Therapy, while injecting under-represented perspectives and social justice frameworks in a historically Western-dominated field.

A Little About Me
I am a queer Black Filipina from Houston, Texas. I am a science-y, spiritual-y first-gen eldest daughter. Over the past few years, my personal experience of grief and loss over the course of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and recent ADHD diagnosis has only affirmed my commitment to understanding and providing anti-oppressive mental health support, particularly to those who do not feel as represented. When I am not providing clinical mental health support in an office or online, I am likely dancing dramatically in my room to modern R&B or over-booking my social schedule with loved ones; D&D, dance classes, board game nights, crafting are on this current roster. Otherwise, I might be melted into the floor browsing online stores for my miniature diorama habit. Ask me about my carden.
If it sounds like you might be interested in working with me, please reach out! I am glad to discuss questions as well as any accommodations you may require.
