I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step to explore therapy options is a huge first step in the path to healing. I believe in the power of presence and utilizing research-based treatment modalities to help my clients reach their full potential, create meaningful lives, and embrace their identity!

My approach to therapy is one of collaborative nature. We will work together to accomplish the goals that you set. I utilize an eclectic and holistic approach to my therapy sessions, in which I consider all aspects of being. I believe in drawing from multiple modalities in order to meet the client where they are. I pull from many modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, The Polyvagal Theory, The Attachment Theory, and incorporate Interpersonal Neurobiology. I also utilize Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy when applicable.

Through my experience, I have learned to emphasize the importance of meeting the client where they are in every session. I have learned the importance of connection and empathy, and the positive changes that are associated with maintaining this level of respect for my clients.

A little about me

I graduated from Texas A&M University in the Fall of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health with a Minor in Neuroscience. Following graduation, I attended St. Edward’s University where I received my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my time at St. Edward’s University I worked as a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technician, in this experience I had the opportunity to work with clients facing medication-resistant Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Tinnitus. While at St. Edward’s I did my practicum and internship at Austin State Hospital where I worked with severe co-occurring mental health disorders.

I have experience working with clients as young as 4 years old and throughout the lifespan up to 75 years old. I have experience leading groups and conducting individual therapy sessions, as well as parent support and family work. My graduate coursework included Play Therapy as well as Sand Tray training, and I continue to build upon that knowledge by joining training opportunities and being a member of the Texas Sand Tray Association.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending my time at yoga classes, walking town lake, reading, and embroidery! I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter, Wren, and our dog, Hank.
