Hi y’all and warm welcome!
My name is Presley and I am so grateful you are here. Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming, daunting task. I recognize your courage and strength already. Let’s work together to create a safe haven for you as you already are. You belong and you matter.
I specialize in working with children, tweens and teens that are navigating a difficult world full of messages about how you “should” show up. I utilize play therapy, sand tray, expressive arts, mindfulness, nature and talk to peel back layers to help children and teens live authentically as themselves, while also fostering coping skills for the obstacles life can throw their way. I believe that a safe, nurturing relationship is at the heart of the therapeutic process and show up as I am-imperfect, flawed and human. During our time together, I will view you as the expert of your life and will work with you to arrive at a destination of your choosing. I have found no greater honor than being invited into a child or teen’s world and hold that as sacred. I am with you in this process.
I can still remember clearly the moment everything just “clicked” in my high school psychology course. This led me to Kansas State (Go Cats!) to get my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I decided to serve in AmeriCorps the year after my bachelor’s degree to truly dive deep and find where my passion and heart lied in serving others, and what felt true and authentic to me. During my time, I felt increasingly drawn to working with all humans to help them realize their strengths and gifts that had been inside all along. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. My course challenged me to go beyond my comfort zone and explore the richness of the world in which we live.
You are welcome and cherished here regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, economic status, sexual orientation, gender, etc. Thank you for being you.
When I am outside of the therapy room, I enjoy going on walks in nature, cooking (and eating!), reading and playing bocce ball!
