Monica Etter, M.Ed, NCC, LPC-Intern Supervised by Karen Burke, LPC-S, RPT-S
Hello there! I am Monica and I want to applaud you for the courage you have taken to start the counseling process for you or your child.
My goal in counseling is to provide a safe, trusting and supportive space for my clients and to build a positive rapport. As a former School Counselor, with 18 years of experience, I have a diverse set of skills with individual therapy, as well as supporting parents. I find the use of play therapy and talk therapy highly effective.
My vast experience in schools allows me to collaborate with schools and parents on Section 504 Services, Special Education, behavioral issues, peer conflicts, as well as other school related concerns. My goal is to work together to help your child be successful socially, emotionally and academically.
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in Elementary Education. After teaching for many years, my love for helping children inspired me to get my Masters at Texas Tech in School Counseling in 2002. As a School Counselor, I realized the need for Counseling outside of the school setting and had a passion to work with children, tweens and teens, as well as supporting their parents. I look forward to working with you!
Monica is available to see clients in person or virtually.
