Macy Anderson LPC-Associate, Supervised by Karen R Burke, LPC-S, RPT-S, CCST-T

Welcome! I know that finding the right therapist (and therapy in general) can often be intimidating. Thank you for advocating for yourself and coming to this point in the search. I aim to create a warm environment for clients to feel safe in exploring themselves and their lives. Through our work together, I hope to accompany my clients in learning more about themselves, achieving their goals, maintaining more fulfilling relationships, navigating difficult circumstances, and improving any areas of life that may need some extra help. I work through a client-centered lens. This means that I try to support my clients by coming from a place of empathy and acceptance during each session. It’s an honor to be able to hold a space in which kiddos and their families can be fully seen and heard.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas and went on to pursue a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Counseling from UTSA. During graduate school, I worked as a Student Counselor at the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas. This is where I discovered my passion for accompanying children and families as they navigate difficult experiences.

When I’m not with clients I enjoy spending time with friends and family, walks around the river, and the occasional TV binge watching session.
