How would you describe therapy with you?
If you are experiencing difficulty in communicating with those who matter most to you, you’ve come to the right place. I will provide you with a safe space and a non-judgmental environment. Regardless of how new or old these painful experiences are, I am here to help you and assure quality treatment so that your journey through life will be lighter and a more positive experience.
My Passions and Specialties:
My specialties include extensive experience in crisis management as I have treated individual clients as well as couples and families who very recently experienced a relational or attachment trauma and needed therapy to help heal and move forward. I utilize the systemic approach, which has been empirically supported in the last few decades. It also has been shown to be just as effective therapeutically to couples and families as individual treatment.
I also enjoy working with young adults who are navigating through such processes as dating, new job stressors, and family cutoffs.
I’m passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, trauma and abuse survivors, issues within the gay men’s community, and children of divorced families. I also enjoy working with gay men who are either recently out or are struggling to come out, gay and lesbian couples, couples with one partner going through gender transitioning, gay men’s issues (i.e. identity struggles, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, internal/external shame).
My Personal Journey:
My personal resonance with the gay community allows me to further empathize with the unique set of disadvantages that only we experience. Some of my clients in the past have been so isolated that they only had the space that I provided to process such difficulties as spiritual trauma, love and sex addiction, and various societal stigmas.
I understand that this may be one of the most difficult times of your life, and respect the courage it takes to work through this.
