I am so grateful you are here! I believe therapy is a place of acceptance, compassion, and vulnerability. With this in mind, my role as a therapist is to provide a safe space for clients to be themselves, feel heard and accepted, explore the uncomfortable, and acknowledge their potential. I approach the therapeutic relationship from a relational, person-centered, strengths-based perspective and incorporate play therapy, expressive arts, sandtray, talk therapy, and mindfulness techniques depending on client need. I view the therapeutic process as collaborative and respect each individual as the expert of their experience.
I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2017 and completed my master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Texas State University in 2021 with a focus in family therapy. Throughout graduate school, I led donation-based children and family yoga classes at a children’s yoga studio in Austin. I incorporate this knowledge of yoga and mindfulness into my clinical work. My graduate internship experience was with a nonprofit organization serving children and families who have experienced trauma. I was able to be a part of therapeutic camps, children and teen groups, parenting groups, and provide individual therapy to children utilizing expressive arts, play therapy, sandtray, mindfulness, and talk therapy.
I am passionate about working with children who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. I also really enjoy working with children and parents to foster the parent-child relationship. I am constantly inspired by families’ bravery and willingness to invest in each other.
Outside of session, you would find me practicing yoga, hiking, or somewhere near the water.
I look forward to meeting you.
