Claire Arnold, LPC

Hi! I am so glad you are here. Reaching out and asking for help requires courage and vulnerability. I know this from personal experience and applaud you for seeking therapy.

I am passionate about working with teenagers and their families, college students, and young professionals as they navigate life’s changes and aspire to improve their mental health and wellness. I create a safe, warm environment where you can be heard and feel free to be your authentic self. My goal is to help you own your story, embrace your strengths, and grow in light of your experiences. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important vehicle for change because healing happens within the context of genuine connection. It would be my honor to walk with you through your pain and support you as you endeavor to find joy and fulfillment.

I graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I went on to earn a master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, I offered individual and group counseling to students at a charter elementary school and a public high school in Nashville. I have been in private practice working with adolescents, families, and adults in Austin since 2019. I am thrilled to be seeing clients at Austin Family Counseling.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis, cooking, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, and spending time with friends, family, and my Goldendoodle, Birdie.
